ImagineIF Libraries, Montana West Economic Development and Flathead Valley Community College’s Center for Manufacturing Advancement are joining forces with other community organizations.
Together they will host Making Montana, a national award-winning, two-day celebration of innovation, problem solving and collaboration.
The event will feature interactive exhibits and informative presentations by tech enthusiasts, manufacturers, engineers, artists, crafters and scientists and is designed to spark curiosity and engage area students.
Over 1,500 middle and high school students from across Northwest Montana are anticipated to attend the event as part of an effort to educate the next generation of workers about the modern-day workplace.
Making Montana will take place in the Expo Building at the Flathead County Fairgrounds on Feb. 28, 2020 and Feb. 29, 2020. The free event is open to the public on Feb. 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Making Montana is currently accepting applications from manufacturing and technology companies as well as makers who would like to exhibit their work at the event. There is no charge to be an exhibitor. The application form is online.
Event organizers encourage schools to register to attend the event by filling out their simple online form. For more information, visit their website or contact Megan Glidden at (406) 758-2191.
