New Rules for Foreign Investment: CFIUS Compliance for Montana Tech Businesses and Investors
September 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FREEIf you are a U.S. technology business considering an investment involving a foreign person, certain transactions may be subject to review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). CFIUS is a U.S. federal interagency group charged with protecting national security. If CFIUS believes your transaction raises national security concerns, your investment could be blocked or significantly delayed.
This webinar will help Montana investors and companies better understand the CFIUS process, its authority, and how to comply, including the expanded authorization under the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act of 2018 (FIRMMA) that addresses national security concerns arising from foreign investment in U.S. businesses with critical technologies, critical infrastructure, and personal data.
