THE STORY

The Kalispell Core & Rail Redevelopment project is the result of five years of strategizing and partnership between the City of Kalispell and the Flathead County Economic Authority (FCEDA). Kalispell residents will enjoy entertainment, green space, increased walkability and safety in Kalispell’s Core Area; encouraging a larger retail presence at the heart of town. The Plan includes housing options suited to people of all income levels and stages of life. All of this designed to make the Kalispell Core a place for people and business alike to flourish.

Though rail will be removed from the center of Kalispell, the Flathead will gain the opportunity to build a hub of commerce around rail. Glacier Rail Park offers rail access options for all rail-served businesses. The Kalispell Core & Rail Redevelopment sets the stage for opportunity and development in the heart of Flathead County. From manufacturers and developers to young professionals and retirees, this project provides the infrastructure to support investment and attract and retain workforce. It delivers the perfect blend of urban and outdoor living, making the Core Area the perfect place for community to flourish.
