Unemployment Insurance rates in Montana are based on the employers history and Rate Class.
Taxes are paid on the Taxable Wage Base only. Taxable Wage Base for 2010 is $26,000.
Experienced Employer Rates range from .13% to 1.6% of the Taxable Wage Base.
New Employer Rates range from 1.18 to 2.38 of the Taxable Wage Base depending on the industry.
