Montana Consistently Rated as a Pro-Business State with Good Business Tax Climate
Montana’s economy continues to grow and is one of five states in the nation with no sales tax. Business Facilities magazine ranked Montana 6th in the nation for best overall tax climate for business in their 2009 State Rankings. The overall tax burden is 8.6%, well below the national average of 9.7%.
Montana was Business Facilities magazine’s runner-up for Economic Development State of the Year in 2009.
