Flathead Electric Coop

Flathead County is fortunate to be served by member-owned Flathead Electric Cooperative which provides electricity to all residents and businesses (member-owners) in the Valley and exists for the benefit of the members rather than investors.  This allows the Flathead Electric to provide energy at highly competitve rates.  Hydropower makes up 97% of the power supplied by FEC.

Local Coop Harnesses Methane Gas to Create Energy

Flathead Electric Coop has recently invested in a new project to collect methane gas and convert it to electricity.  This partnership with the Flathead County Landfill is just one of many opportunities that FEC is striving to make the Flathead Valley more energy efficient.
