Public Safety
One of the advantages of having close knit communities is the comfort and safety it provides. The value of knowing your neighbor in today’s increasingly insular world can be rewarding. In the Flathead Valley emergency response units react to the residents’ needs quickly and are completely dependable in both major and minor situations. Frontline core emergency services consist of:
Flathead County Sheriff’s Department
Kalispell Police and Fire Departments
Whitefish Police and Fire Departments
Columbia Falls Police and Fire Departments
Bigfork Fire Department

Montana Meth Project
The Montana Meth Project is leading the country with its cutting-edge, large-scale prevention program aimed at significantly reducing first-time meth use through public service messaging, public policy, and community outreach.
“The Meth Project appears to have lived up to all expectations. The message, carefully researched to resonate with young people, has succeeded where all prior efforts have failed. The project has gained recognition across the country, particularly in the hard-hit West.”
