What is One Valley One Vision?

MT Public Radio Interview

Together, we will make a difference in Flathead County, Montana. We are creating awareness about the advantages of “Doing Business” in the Flathead/Glacier Park Region of Montana.

With resources invested in marketing and promotion we are able to collaborate and establish a branding vision. One Valley One Vision is about implementing strategies to promote the competitive advantages of our area to growing businesses for job creation and capital investment.

Our Progress

In April 2010 Flathead Valley Community College provided a target industry analysis to Montana West Economic Development. The analysis focus is on where jobs in the future are most likely to be generated from and suggestions to increase job creation opportunities.

In June 2010 Montana West, the three cities and chambers of commerce of Columbia Falls, Kalispell and Whitefish, Glacier Park International Airport, Flathead County Economic Development Authority and the Montana Department of Commerce joined together to hire and work with an economic development marketing consultant to write a marketing plan and promotional strategy called “One Valley One Vision.” The college’s analysis fed into the marketing plan development.

The plan was finalized the first of October 2010. Request for proposals have been issued by Montana West to partner with local contractors to assist with the development of strategies for implementation. Montana West plans to have the contractors begin work by February 2011.
