Expanding Businesses

In order to rise to the next level, growing businesses often need many of the same resources that start-ups require.  At Montana West our mission is to assist businesses expand and maintain a healthy presence in the community, creating jobs and a cultivating a diverse economy.

Montana West’s gap lending program works in partnership with local lending institutions to “fill the gap” between the needs of the business and the amount that conventional institutions are able to lend. Our CDBG, IRP and revolveing loan funds support a number of local growing businesses including professional offices, agriculture endeavors, manufacturing, retail and restaurants. 

A number of other grant programs exist for businesses planning to increase the number of their employees.  Workforce training grants, feasibility study grants and research and technology commercialization grants.  For more information about these programs see Incentives.
