TeleTech Kalispell - Montana’s Gate to the World
Tory Graham, Director of Service Delivery at TeleTech Kalispell, tells us about what it’s like to work in her hometown, and use the tools the company provides to build a successful future in a global company.
Graham’s story at TeleTech started five years ago, when the site first opened its doors in Kalispell. She started as a business communications specialist, dealing with clients and interacting with the community. Graham soon learned that the company offered career pathing and many opportunities to build the career she was interested in.
Taking advantage of the tuition reimbursement program to enroll in courses at the local college, Graham began learning more about the business process outsourcing industry. She also focused on getting a Black Belt Six Sigma certification and a Master in Six Sigma, among other certificates. Graham feels that the paid training was a wonderful benefit, as the knowledge she gained enabled her to attain the director position she is holding today, and to be involved with the operations for several other locations around the United States.
Graham has had the chance to travel abroad to Guadalajara, Mexico and Madrid, Spain. The great thing about working for TeleTech is that it doesn’t matter if you’re working at a site in the middle of the United States or in Argentina, you can connect and relate to different people from different cultures across the globe. At TeleTech, Graham has been able to see the world and develop a broader picture and understanding of people.
“I believe that every single employee has equal chances to do whatever they decide to do in the company, but it is up to them to actually apply it,” Graham stated.
Like many other locals, Graham knew that she wanted to have a challenging and a professional career and by working for TeleTech she has found that. Graham stated the main key to success is that you have to love your job. She feels proud to be responsible for a site that employs 600 people, and most importantly, she believes TeleTech is a great place for employment, as she understands that people make a company successful. Tory Graham’s keys to success could be summarized by the following:
1. Show up to work.
2. Make sure you let people know what you want to do so that they can partner you with the right people and get you the right training.
3. No matter what it is that you are doing and/or learning about, embrace it. You will use it in every role moving forward.
4. Challenge yourself. All of our jobs can be frustrating, or become routine at times, but you have the power to change it up and make it different and better.
Graham enjoys the feeling of working in her native community but still being able to touch the world. Your story could turn out to be just like Graham’s; you just have to be determined to reach for what you want and explore all of your options to build a successful career.
